Professional skills:
Linux: Installation and configuration of all *nix clones, including all major servers (apache, mysql, bind, bgp, samba, proftpd, etc) from source tarballs.
Networking: Routing, NAT, BGP. Configuration of AS and IP addresses in RIPE, radius accounting and authorization, Squid caching (even for partial content using proprietary patches). RRD and MRTG statistics, including own data collectors.
Mail: My personal preference is qmail, with many needed patches: SQL support (both for users and quotas), plus all recommended modifications and webmail interface. I have own solution for antivirus and antispam protection, which includes mail delivery in dedicated folders using bincimap and maildrop (IMAP server).
Web: I am proficient with AJAX technology used to make websites appear with more application-like interface. This includes complete knowledge of XML and DOM. As a backend I prefer using PHP with Smarty template engine, based on a OOP framework built by myself. Image manipulation and captcha. Generation of reports, charts, etc. I can build a large video site like YouTube, social network like Facebook, ERP and CRM, etc.
VoIP: I have a large asterisk installation for SIP and IAX2 customers which includes full billing for prepaid and postpaid customers. All software is written in PHP and linked to Asterisk using PHP AGI. It is able to manage multiple routes and DIDs (based on least cost or other preference), calculate costs and profit, support IVR, etc.
Communications: VPNs using PPP, dialup networks with public access (using both modem pools with cyclades cards and NASes like Lucent Portmaster), setup of one-way and two-way satellite communications from Hughes,
Electronic payment: I have created and used online payment systems that accept local debit cards, worldwide credit cards, and payments by premium SMS.
Programming languages: proficiency in PHP, Javascript, MySQL, bash scripting, XML. Average level on Perl, Ruby.
Database programming: Full profficiency with MySQL, including stored procedures and views in 5.x
Video streaming: I have written online system that is able to convert multiples video formats to FLV + metadata, suitable for video streaming online. Combined with suitable scripts on the backend it can also support video seeking without preloading of the whole file.
